In the heart of the City of St. Louis, a profound chapter in our collective faith journey is unfolding. Four cherished parishes—Our Lady of the Holy Cross, St. Augustine, St. Elizabeth, Mother of John the Baptist, and St. Matthew, the Apostle—have united under the name St. Peter Claver. This union, guided by the recommendations of All Things New to the Archdiocese, represents a commitment to strengthen and transform our faith community.

We continue to navigate the intricate path of merger of the parishes of Our Lady of the Holy Cross, St. Augustine, St. Elizabeth, Mother of John the Baptist and St. Matthew, the Apostle,  effective August 1, 2023.  The parishioners chose St. Peter Claver as the name and patron saint for the new parish.  At St. Peter Claver Parish, we celebrate the diversity of our traditions, our previous parishes, and our members, weaving them together into a rich tapestry of faith. As we worship collectively, rotating among the sanctuaries of the four parishes, we forge bonds of unity that honor our unique histories and spiritual practices.​​​
